Introducing SCIM: Manage Users Through Your IdP

You can now connect your IdP (Identity Provider) with Clockify and manage user data and access automatically.
Not familiar with how this process works? Let’s dive into the details.
What is SCIM provisioning?
SCIM (System for Cross-Domain Identity Management) allows you to sync users and user groups in Clockify with your identity provider (e.g., Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID, or JumpCloud).
Why is SCIM provisioning important?
Once you connect your IdP with Clockify by CAKE.com, you won’t have to worry about allowing or disabling access to users across multiple platforms.
If you already have dozens or hundreds of employees in your organization and you’re introducing Clockify, you won’t have to add users to Clockify manually. With SCIM provisioning, the data will be synced automatically.
The greatest advantage of this feature is that user access is updated immediately whenever you remove someone from your company’s identity provider. This way, you’ll block access throughout apps in one step instead of managing user access individually.
Syncing also applies to any changes to a user’s name or email address. SCIM makes sure your user data is accurate, without you wasting time on corrections.
Who can enable SCIM provisioning in Clockify?
This feature is available to all existing and new Clockify users. However, only workspace Owners can enable SCIM provisioning in Clockify.
Here’s how:
- Go to Clockify workspace settings.
- Find the Authentication tab and the SCIM option within it.
- Enable SCIM and generate your unique base URL and bearer token.
- Copy these values and paste them into your IdP.

SCIM provisioning is available only on Clockify’s Enterprise plan.
