New in Q4 for Pumble: Text snippets, muting channels & more

In the fourth and final quarter of 2025, we’ve added some powerful features and made insightful improvements to Pumble.
Apart from introducing text and code snippets, we’ve enabled temporarily muting channels and sending threaded messages to channels.
Let’s see what’s new in Pumble in more detail.
Text and code snippets
The Q4 brought us yet another practical, time-saving feature — text and code snippets.
There’s no reason to write a message from scratch every time you want to greet your team, or send the same message in various channels, or to different employees. The same goes for developers when they want to send the same code, configuration file, or log files to users multiple times.
Now, you can easily create both text and code snippets via Pumble.
How to create text and code snippets
- Select the channel, group, or private message recipient
- Go to the message editor and click on the + icon.
- Select Text snippet from the drop-down menu.
- (Optional) Enter the snippet’s title.
- Choose the snippet type (or use the auto-detect option).
- Paste your code into the Content section.
- Click on Create snippet.

Once your snippet has been created, you can hover over it and:
- Copy,
- Share,
- Download, or
- Edit it.
Of course, you can delete the snippet by hovering over it, clicking on the three dots menu, and choosing the Delete option.
But most importantly, you can collapse the snippet so that just the title is visible. This way, it won’t take up too much space in the message. At the same time, both you and the person(s) reading your message can expand it at your convenience.
Benefits of creating text and code snippets
Less context switching
With snippets, the entire conversation remains in Pumble as team members don’t have to open external documents to view any necessary data.
Time saving
You can also save time on sharing configuration files and log snippets with teammates by downloading Pumble snippets as .txt files.
Enhanced knowledge sharing
Sending frequently used snippets via Pumble transforms it into an incredibly useful knowledge-sharing base — perfect for welcoming new team members.
Of course, Pumble’s unlimited history for all users plays a vital role in providing such an infrastructure.
Fewer errors
Snippets can become really long, depending on the code and the type of text you want to send. Plus, writing the same information over and over again increases the risk of making mistakes, which can lead to inefficient code.
Now, you can simply copy and paste your error-free snippet to convey your message flawlessly.
Easier to find information
You can send screenshots of your code or configuration files, but it’s not the same.
Snippets are indexed for search engines as opposed to text inside the images. This means you can easily find information from snippets through Pumble’s search option.
Improved visibility
Snippet data can be long, but the message itself doesn’t have to be.
You can collapse the snippet, leaving just the title visible in the conversation. This way, the focus remains on the message itself, while the users can expand the snippet at their own convenience.
Enhanced team collaboration
Finally, keep in mind that sending easily accessible, error-free snippets that don’t take up a lot of space in the chat makes team collaboration effortless. Seamlessly communicating ideas, training materials, examples, and solutions leads to successful cooperation and problem resolution.

Retroactively send “Also send to channel” messages
If you realize that the message you sent in a thread should be visible to the entire channel, just send it retroactively. This option is available to all users on all devices (Android, iOS, and web) and on all plans.
The messages that you’ve sent to the channel will be shown in chronological order, and users will get the Unread notification — so nothing will fall through the cracks.

How to send threaded messages to a channel
To retroactively send messages to a channel:
- Go to your threaded message.
- Hover over the message and click on the three dots for the web version/long tap on the message for Android and iOS app versions.
- Click on Also send to this channel
This feature applies to both new and recently sent thread messages.

Temporarily mute channels
Finally, since simply muting channels or DMs is not enough, we’ve introduced the option to temporarily mute messages to enhance your user experience.
Benefits of temporarily muting channels
Enhanced deep work sessions
Simply mute the busiest channels or DMs when you want to focus completely on the work ahead of you.
Improved productivity
Do heated debates in channels ruin your productivity? Simply mute channels when the conversations don’t concern you, and catch up at your own pace later if needed.
Enabled automation
Sometimes, you’ll want to mute channels for a limited period of time only. With this new Pumble feature, channels will automatically unmute after some time, without you having to think about it at all.

There are 2 ways you can mute channels.
First, you can:
