New in Q2 for Clockify: Revert File Import, Quick Report Export, Field Mapping, and More

Updates Featured Image

We've spent the second quarter of 2026 improving our reports with new highly efficient features. Moreover, we've introduced pre-made time-off policies to make it easier for new users to implement them.

Let's get into more details!

Approvals: Submit changes to pending requests manually

You can now either add your new time entries to the existing pending approval, or separate them by not submitting the entries for approval just yet.

→ Key benefit

Greater flexibility of the approval process

Now, you have more control over submitting changes for approval. The new changes you made to the timesheet are not automatically a part of the already pending approval process. You can wait until the old changes are approved to submit new ones, or until it's more convenient for you to do so.

Import: Field mapping

With field mapping, you ensure that the CSV column names match Clockify data fields. This makes it easy to spot if there are errors with column names, formatting, or missing data.

→ Key benefit

Error prevention

Going over the files and searching for errors manually is a tiresome and time-consuming process. Luckily, you don't have to do it anymore, as the most common errors never even occur with the field mapping feature.

Import: Roll back (Revert)

You can now also revert your import if the data inside of it was incorrect, fix what's needed, and upload the file once again.

→ Key benefit

Saves time

You no longer need to manually find and correct one entry at a time. Rather, you can fix what's necessary and upload the file once again. This saves time and leads to less manual effort and frustration for the end user.

Reports: Quick export

You can export the report even before it's fully loaded in the app itself. When there's no need to view the report in the app, simply export it to other tools for further analysis.

→ Key benefit

Reduces waiting time

Massive reports take time to download, which creates delays in your workflow, as you must fully download them first, and only then export them.

The scenario was the same for every report, but from now on, you don't have to wait for the download anymore — instead, you can proceed straight to the export option.

Time off: Pre-made policies

New users now have the option to use the pre-made time-off policies for vacation days and sick leave. Of course, you can edit or delete them according to your company's needs.

→ Key benefit

No need for manual creation

You don't have to manually create your most-used time-off policies. Instead, you can just use an already existing template to save yourself time and prevent mishaps. A template will give you an idea of how time-off policies function, and you can further adjust them based on your specific needs.

Approval submission timestamp

Finally, users and admins can now see the exact times when a timesheet was submitted, approved, or rejected when they export the Detailed report.

→ Key benefit

Compliance with internal company policies

Finding out patterns in rejections and approvals can help ensure compliance with internal company policies. Analyzing data becomes much easier when you have all the neat details in a report, and preventing errors is a natural consequence of this.
