Introducing the Jira + Clockify Integration: 2-Way Sync

About the Jira + Clockify integration

This new integration lets you connect Jira and Clockify and sync data both ways.

In practice, this means that if you use Jira to work on your tasks, you can track the time spent on them directly in Jira by starting the Clockify timer or entering time manually.

Your time logs from Jira will be collected and sorted in Clockify, where you can get a clear overview of the timesheets and run reports. When you edit or delete an issue or project in Jira, the changes will also be reflected in Clockify.

You can even set up the integration so that projects and tasks that exist in Jira are created automatically in Clockify too.

Now, if you make any changes to your time entries in Clockify, they’ll also be visible in the Jira work log.

Here’s how you can make changes to your logs in Clockify:

• Edit — change description, start and end time, and duration.
• Duplicate — create a copy of an existing time entry.
• Split entry — make more detailed records out of tracked time.

Track time on tasks

Start the timer exactly where you work, without switching tabs. Once you’re done with your work day or week, you’ll be able to review and correct your time entries in Clockify’s timesheet.

Sync data

Save time by automatically syncing data between Jira and Clockify. You won’t have to check whether task names or tracked time match on these 2 apps separately — any changes made are synced both ways.

Invoice your work

You can check your tracked hours as billable or non-billable and then invoice them to your clients. That way, they’ll know exactly what you worked on and for how long.

Set up the Jira + Clockify integration

Connect Jira and Clockify by following these steps:

1. Log into Jira and Clockify.
2. Go to the Atlassian Marketplace to get the Clockify add-on.
3. Click on Get it now to install the add-on.
4. Choose the Jira Cloud URL where you want to install the integration.
5. Review app permissions and terms.

The integration is available for Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center, as well as all Clockify apps.
