Invite existing members to a new workspace
When you create a new workspace, you can add members to this workspace easily by selecting from the existing members who have already joined your organization.
To invite existing members:
- On the CAKE.com homepage, click Workspaces
- Click Create Workspace
- Select the CAKE.com product for the new workspace (e.g. Clockify)
- Enter the Workspace name
- Click Create
- Enter the name of the member in the search field
- Select the checkbox next to the name of the member from the list
- Click Send invites
There are limitations to the number of users you can invite per session depending on the product to prevent spam and system abuse. A message will appear informing you that you have reached the limit allowed for the workspace. When you reach this limit, you need to repeat the steps to invite the rest of the users.
If you are on a free plan in Clockify, you can only have up to 5 members in the workspace, including the Organization owner. You need to free up seats or purchase additional seats if you need to invite more members.
You will see the message “Invites sent” once the invitations have been sent successfully. If the invite fails, you will see an error message “Failed to send invites. Please try inviting the users directly from the product.” When this happens, you need to go to the product page to complete the process.
The invited users will receive an email notification or be notified directly from the product workspace. The user needs to accept the invitation to gain access to the new workspace they have been invited to.
