It’s all about networking and knowledge sharing!

In September 2024, CAKE.com sales and marketing representatives attended 2 global conferences:

  • INBOUND — HubSpot’s conference dedicated to the latest marketing, sales, and AI trends, and
  • SaaStr Annual 2024 — the world’s largest SaaS community event.

The INBOUND conference, held in Boston between September 18th and 20th, hosted 200 speakers and welcomed 11.000 in-person attendees. 

VP of Sales at CAKE.com, Nikola Neskovic, explained that the conference revolved around the HubSpot ecosystem, as many companies integrate with HubSpot or are consultants who help businesses get acquainted with this platform. 

Aside from famous Boston food trucks, Neskovic had the best time at side events, which included cruises, tours, and happy hours organized daily by various companies. Side events provided an amazing opportunity for participants to network in a more relaxed environment.

CAKE.com Enterprise Sales Specialist, Helen Medvedev, noted how the positive atmosphere at INBOUND helped her overcome her nerves and utilize the opportunity she was given: 

“Attending my first INBOUND or a conference overall was a mix of excitement, curiosity, and a bit of nerves. But walking into the event, I could immediately feel the enthusiasm in the air, everyone there was ready to share ideas and make connections.”

Moreover, Neskovic emphasized how useful this experience was for the sales team:

“INBOUND was an invaluable experience for us! It enabled networking with various marketing agencies, crafting partnerships, and meeting new clients. We also had a chance to reconnect with HubSpot, with whom we’ve nurtured a 3-year-long collaboration.”

The second event the CAKE.com team attended was the SaaStr Annual Conference. With over 10.000 company representatives participating, the conference was held in the San Francisco Bay Area from the 10th to the 12th of September.

The event covered various topics related to the industry such as AI, cloud, leadership, growing a SaaS company, customer success, generating revenue, and much more.

CAKE.com Sales Specialist, Niko Tomic, utilized this opportunity to exchange experiences and grow his contact base, explaining that the team “wanted to get to know people from other SaaS companies.”

Furthermore, Enterprise Sales Specialist, Milena Miletic, only has good things to say about the conference, noting that “the energy was amazing, participants were motivated to network and share their experiences and I had the chance of leading stimulating conversations with many notable people in the industry.” 

She also highlighted how amazing the lecturers were and praised the organization of all of the events.

Senior Public Relations Manager, Maury Chasteau-Simien, explains that CAKE.com’s presence at INBOUND and SaaStr was crucial in establishing its footprint in the US:

Conferences are a great opportunity for learning and networking and offer a range of new experiences. And, according to Medvedev, they make people around the world more connected:

By the end of the event, I felt more connected to the entire industry, leaving with a bunch of new connections, and a newfound excitement about the future conference opportunities.”
