Murray<\/a>, Career Coach and Tech Recruiter at JupiterHR.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Our panelists expressed their thoughts on AI\u2019s influence on both employers and employees and how both parties can make the most of the latest technologies. Moreover, they shared their experiences with AI and how they\u2019re benefiting from the latest technologies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the key episode takeaways about AI, common fears people have about it, and how it will affect the way we work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"How will AI impact the Future of Work | FUTURE OF WORK TALKS | EP 02\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/e6bg9uyVh2M?start=4&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"embrace-ai-instead-of-fearing-it\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Embrace AI instead of fearing it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the emergence of AI, the biggest debate has revolved around its potential to replace employees and specific job positions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kalbach believes we shouldn\u2019t be afraid of AI replacing us as \u201c<em>human imagination is not going to be replaced any time soon.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>None of our panelists are afraid of AI replacing them and are embracing it with open arms instead. That\u2019s because they believe AI complements their work and allows them to focus their energy on things that matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Szapar, AI is an even bigger innovation than the Internet: <em>\u201cInternet democratized access to information, and AI is democratizing access to intelligence.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Szapar adds that AI offers endless possibilities and opens a completely new chapter in enhancing existing processes and productivity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Murray, approaching and assessing AI with critical thinking is key. This means exploring ways technology impacts our value in the workplace.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also believes that a good worker who\u2019s willing to adapt to new technologies doesn&#8217;t have anything to worry about. Companies could bring people together by organizing hackathons or brainstorming sessions and listening to everybody\u2019s ideas and inputs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together, they could identify bottlenecks and find ways to increase operational efficiency. This way, leaders will not only gather great ideas but also create an environment in which AI isn\u2019t feared but embraced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"reskill-instead-of-replace\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reskill instead of replace<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our panelists believe that the biggest danger of AI is overestimating and misinterpreting its abilities. They\u2019re concerned employers could wrongly assume AI can replace a portion of their workforce and save them money on salaries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead, Kalbach and Murray advise employers to focus on skill recalibration. As our panelists highlight, human perspective and relatability will always come first, even once AI reaches the level of sophistication it aspires to.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether companies should look into AI and try to adapt isn\u2019t a debate anymore.
